My name is Sheree Jernigan and I am a registered nurse and an international board certified lactation consultant. I have been working with mothers and their babies for over nine years. It was through my experiences with my own children that I realized just how important having a qualified, knowledgeable, and evidence based support system can be.
When a dear friend asked me what I wanted to do with the rest of my life after my children were grown, I instantly replied that I wanted to be a lactation consultant.
After over 20 years as a stay at home mom, I returned to college, was accepted into nursing school, became a registered nurse who garnered over 1000 hours working with mothers and babies plus additional education hours in this field for an IBCLE certification.
My philosophy is that the best way to ensure a bright future for our children is to provide for them every advantage possible, including all of the amazing benefits of breastfeeding.

"I was a very young mother, an average aged mother and a mother of "advanced maternal age". And thru it all, I had no one to support my breastfeeding journey. I felt like the Goldilocks of lactation. I experienced over supply, under supply and a supply that was "just right"! I also had 3 babies with tethered oral tissue making for months of discomfort and frustration. I have heard many new grandmothers say, "I wish I would have had someone like you when I was breastfeeding". I always reply, "me too". So now I am here for you".
If you feel that your issues can be addressed with a phone call, I am here to help. Phone consultations of 30, 45 and 60 minuites are available.
From this we can assess if an indepth, hands-on approach is needed to reach your breastfeeding goals.
